Lembit replies to my poem! (in a previous post)

Steve,

Well, it certianly shows the benefit of genuinely liking the human race,
even on the tube! Perhaps the following comment might be helpful, which
you can feel free to add on my behalf to your web site.

"I've read the Poem, which does indeed encourage confusion as you
suggest, but it doesn't cause offence - not to me anyway. It raises the
question of accessability, in language and in art. There are rights of
passage to understanding this kind of expression, and the audience will
self-select their interpretation according to the challenges they see in
the poetry.

It's an interesting experiment, made possible by some people's
willingness to be linguistic engineers."
